Welcome to the Brown lab. Our long-term goal is to understand transport mechanisms in the cell. To do this we use a combination of structural, biophysical and biochemical techniques with an emphasis on high-resolution electron microscopy.
The Brown lab at Harvard Medical School has a position available for an electron microscopist to study the structural basis of retinopathies and to coordinate collaborative projects. Applicants should hold (or will be shortly awarded) a PhD degree, have strong communication skills and an established record of creativity through principal authorship in peer-reviewed publication(s). Prior experience operating a Polara microscope is desirable. The position is funded for a minimum of two years by the E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation and is available immediately.
