Funding for two years. The award ranges from $63,300 - $77,000, based upon postdoctoral research experience, with 75% of the award going towards the stipend, and 25% used towards research expenditures. Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the US.

The EMBO Long-Term Fellowships are awarded for a period of up to two years and support post-doctoral research visits to laboratories throughout Europe and the world. International exchange is a key feature in the application process.

Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Awards
Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar Awards are open to U.S. citizens who have recently completed their doctoral degree – typically within the five previous years.

Fellowships may be awarded to US citizens planning to work in laboratories either in the US, Canada, or abroad and also to foreign citizens for research in laboratories in the US only. The Foundation accepts applications from candidates who have no more than one year of postdoctoral research experience at the time of the deadline for submitting the application (June 30, 2017), and who have received a PhD (or D.Phil. or equivalent) degree no more than two years before the deadline, or an M.D. degree no more than three years before the deadline.

Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Postdoctoral Fellowships
Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) are for applicants with a Ph.D. in a biological discipline, who will broaden their expertise by proposing a project in the life sciences which is significantly different from their previous Ph.D. or postdoctoral work. Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF) are for applicants with a Ph.D. from outside the life sciences (e.g. in physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering or computer sciences), who have had limited exposure to biology during their previous training. Applicants must be proposing to work in a country different from the one they studied in.

Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research (JCC Fund) Fellowship
Postdoctoral applicants should have no more than one year of postdoctoral research experience at the time of the deadline for submitting applications. PhD. degree must not have been conferred more than 18 months prior to the deadline date. MD. degree should not have been conferred more than three years before deadline date of application. PhD. candidates that do not have their degree at time of application deadline are eligible to apply. If awarded, the applicant’s PhD. degree must be conferred prior to the start of the Fellowship. The appointment will be for three years.

LSRF (Life Sciences Research Foundation) Fellowship
Applicants must not have held a PhD or MD degree for more than 5 years at the time of application.
